This program is designed for girls ages 9-12. Topics discussed will include: development of breasts and female reproductive organs, overall changes in the female body, menstruation – having your period, hygiene, sanitary pads and tampons, general hygiene and responsibility, breast cancer (incidence and self-breast exam). A brief discussion of puberty in boys will be reviewed to include the development of boys’ bodies and their reproductive organs. There are some pictures that show the difference between boys and girls. There is no discussion of sex, although a statement is made regarding sperm and egg fertilization. Also, a video is shown regarding girl’s physical development and responsibility. |

Drop 10 in 10 is designed to help individuals move away from the all or nothing mentality of fad dieting to the philosophy of making meaningful and long-lasting nutrition, exercise and lifestyle changes.

This program is designed for girls ages 9-12. Topics discussed will include: development of breasts and female reproductive organs, overall changes in the female body, menstruation – having your period, hygiene, sanitary pads and tampons, general hygiene and responsibility, breast cancer (incidence and self-breast exam). A brief discussion of puberty in boys will be reviewed to include the development of boys’ bodies and their reproductive organs. There are some pictures that show the difference between boys and girls. There is no discussion of sex, although a statement is made regarding sperm and egg fertilization. Also, a video is shown regarding girl’s physical development and responsibility. |

Recognizing the need to help older drivers improve their skills and prevent traffic accidents, AARP offers the AARP Driver Safety Program to all motorists age 50 and older. The purpose of this 4 hour refresher course is to improve driving and awareness skills. Participants will get answers to today’s driving challenges, such as learning how to compensate for changes in vision, hearing and reaction time; what to do if confronted by an aggressive driver; how medications may affect driving; how to handle problem situations such as left turns, right-of-way, freeway traffic, trucks and blind spots; how to properly use anti-lock brakes, air bags, and safety belts; and how to assess one’s own and other’s abilities via a “Personal Driving Capabilities Index.” Must bring proof of attending 8-hour course previously. Recognizing the need to help older drivers improve their skills and prevent traffic accidents, AARP offers the AARP Driver Safety Program to all motorists age 50 and older. The purpose of this 8-hour course is to improve driving and awareness skills. Participants will get answers to today’s driving challenges, such as learning how to compensate for changes in vision, hearing and reaction time; what to do if confronted by an aggressive driver; how medications may affect driving; how to handle problem situations such as left turns, right-of-way, freeway traffic, trucks and blind spots; how to properly use anti-lock brakes, air bags, and safety belts; and how to assess one’s own and other’s abilities via a “Personal Driving Capabilities Index.” Must bring AARP card as evidence of membership and driver’s license.

Recognizing the need to help older drivers improve their skills and prevent traffic accidents, AARP offers the AARP Driver Safety Program to all motorists age 50 and older. The purpose of this 4 hour refresher course is to improve driving and awareness skills. Participants will get answers to today’s driving challenges, such as learning how to compensate for changes in vision, hearing and reaction time; what to do if confronted by an aggressive driver; how medications may affect driving; how to handle problem situations such as left turns, right-of-way, freeway traffic, trucks and blind spots; how to properly use anti-lock brakes, air bags, and safety belts; and how to assess one’s own and other’s abilities via a “Personal Driving Capabilities Index.” Must bring proof of attending 8-hour course previously. Proof of previous class would be a copy of certificate or an insurance paper listing defensive driving discount. Must bring AARP membership card and driver's license.

Recognizing the need to help older drivers improve their skills and prevent traffic accidents, AARP offers the AARP Driver Safety Program to all motorists age 50 and older. The purpose of this 4 hour refresher course is to improve driving and awareness skills. Participants will get answers to today’s driving challenges, such as learning how to compensate for changes in vision, hearing and reaction time; what to do if confronted by an aggressive driver; how medications may affect driving; how to handle problem situations such as left turns, right-of-way, freeway traffic, trucks and blind spots; how to properly use anti-lock brakes, air bags, and safety belts; and how to assess one’s own and other’s abilities via a “Personal Driving Capabilities Index.” Must bring proof of attending 8-hour course previously. Proof of previous class would be a copy of certificate or an insurance paper listing defensive driving discount. Must bring AARP membership card and driver's license.

Topics discussed will include: development of breasts and female reproductive organs, overall changes in the female body, menstruation – having your period, hygiene, sanitary pads and tampons, general hygiene and responsibility, breast cancer (incidence and self-breast exam). A brief discussion of puberty in boys will be reviewed to include the development of boys’ bodies and their reproductive organs. There are some pictures that show the difference between boys and girls. There is no discussion of sex, although a statement is made regarding sperm and egg fertilization. Also, a video is shown regarding girl’s physical development and responsibility. |

If conventional weight loss methods have failed, attend one of these sessions to learn more about weight loss surgery. Surgery candidates must attend a workshop before surgery will be performed. Excela Health is a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence.

This one hour class is exercise linking movement with breathing and stretching therefore creating flexibility and strength through Yoga postures and breathing. This class is designed for those who have participated in Yoga previously; more postures are utilized in comparison to the Gentle Yoga. Class size is limited.
Register on the first date of the class only.

| Childbirth & Beyond 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Westmoreland Hospital - Main Hospital - (Memorial Conference Center)
A 3-week childbirth education class offered to help you develop a support system and decrease your anxiety about your upcoming birth. The class will also provide you with information and tools to use in labor and delivery, along with newborn care techniques. Lamaze breathing techniques are mentioned; however the instructor will not go into detail. Recommended registration to attend class is 8 to 10 weeks before your due date. You will be registered in a class according to your “Due Date”. Bring 2 pillows, a blanket for use on the floor and a support person. |

People with cancer face many worries, feelings, and concerns unique to their situation. Cancer patients may find that they need help coping with the emotional as well as the practical aspects of the disease. A support group can help people fell less isolated and distresses, and improve the quality of their lives.
Our cancer support group provides a setting in which cancer patients can talk about living with cancer with others who may be having similar experiences. |
